The fine Kaas Cup from Sandkås Keramik is hand-turned in stoneware clay, often with small pieces of lava added, which gives the characteristic spotted surface.

After annealing and glazing, the stoneware is fired hard at 1250 degrees, making it robust and suitable for both regular ovens, microwaves and dishwashers.

All glazes used are of course approved for food use.
